Jesus said "And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it." (Matthew 16:18).
Jesus said He would build His "church", the Greek word for church is "ekklesia" and it is correctly interpreted "those called out". Therefore whether you are congregational or non-congregational ministry you have been called out of the world and are the church. This can be easily reconciled with Matthew 18:20 "For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them."
The Church Ministry Association (CMA), understands that Jesus views the church as those called out of this worlds system, and therefore considers them equally and yet very different according to 1 Corinthians 12:12. Though we have diverse gifts, we have a unified purpose to fulfill the call of Jesus Christ on our lives. This is the Great Commission; Matthew 28:19 "go therefore and make disciples of all nations" & Mark 16:15 "go into all the world and preach the Gospel"

If you have an established congregation or ministry work or have been called to establish a local congregation or ministry work we would encourage you to consider becoming part of the CMA. Being part of the CMA will allow You to retain your autonomy be part of a church association providing ministry accountability. We are here to help you fulfill your call. As an Affiliate you will become an integral part of our world missions outreaches and if your organization currently supports missions or missionaries we would encourage you to continue to be faithful to those ministry works. Because you are autonomous you control your finances, purpose and vision. We are here to provide pastoral leadership or "pastor the pastors" (Ephesians 4:11). We do not grant spiritual authority and make no judgment regarding your calling, it is between you and the Holy Spirit.

If you are the senior leader of a ministry work and chose to seek ordination acknowledgement and are acknowledged, your organization will become a CMA Affiliate by agreement. Generally the next question we get asked is: what does it cost and what do we get? It is a very important question because we should understand the ministry covenant relationship that is being considered. There is a good amount of information available on this website, so please review the commitment page, our statement of faith and take the time to learn more about the ministries leaders that make up the CMA, then and foremost pray and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal His will in this.
